They’ve written two science fiction works, their debut novel Augmented which is a near-future dystopian set in the Midwest that explores family trauma and the role of AI and augmented reality in society, and Echo, a futuristic GameLit that delves into the realm of uploaded consciousness and the cost of immortality. MJ wants to challenge the way we consider technology’s role in our future, while reminding us that the human condition isn’t going away.
